Helping Your Companion Animals Thrive
Founder of The Big Bad Woof in Washington DC
With over 20 years of experience in pet nutrition and natural modalities including homoeopathic and natural supplements, I take an integrative approach when working with your animal. My goal in working with clients and other specialists is to to help provide the best framework for that dog or cat to restore & maintain good health.
I have seen first-hand the benefits of a clean, wholesome diet and its impact on numerous health issues, including allergies, immune support, skin & digestive health and other more serious diseases.
Balancing the microbiome and utilising a multi-pronged approach which may include diet, supplemental care, and when needed, other specialists, we can often restore and improve the overall well-being of the animal, and hopefully restore good health or at least provide a better quality of life. This may include incorporating fresh raw or lightly cooked food, supplements and lifestyle adjustments.
Please schedule a meeting to discuss your companions health and your objectives.
This is for an initial 45-minute nutritional consultation and includes an additional 15-minute post-meeting to review notes and create a follow-up.
Please fill out this form at least 24 hours prior to our initial meeting.
Please bring or upload any additional information with you about vet visits, special diet restrictions, and other relevant information so I can best help your companion.
This is a follow-up to the initial nutritional consult, and we can discuss updates to your companion's health, any new info regarding vet visits or tests, and adjustments to the initial recommendations.
Our senior staff is available in-store to handle most general inquiries. If you have more serious inquiries, please contact me for an initial consultation or sdle most inquiries that are general in nature. If you have more serious inquiries please either contact me for an Initial Consultation.
This consultation is not a replacement for your vet’s diagnosis, recommended prescriptions and/or procedures. This consultation will recommend nutrition, supplementation and lifestyle changes to complement your vet’s recommendations. PJN
We are dedicated to improving pet health and aim to assist you in enhancing the well-being of your companion. Our objective is to develop a customised diet and supplement program that will alleviate discomfort, increase vitality, and implement specific dietary and lifestyle adjustments to promote your pet's overall wellness.
This process will require time, and we propose working within a timeframe of 1 to 4 months to ensure the effectiveness of the changes. Let us tailor a package specifically for you, designed to produce positive outcomes over a specified period.
In the course of curating a change in diet we may also provide recommendations for supplementts based on your companion's current condition and in conjunction with any other veterinary support and medications. This might also include other treatment modalities.
We love our customers, so feel free to visit during normal business hours to learn more about pet care & nutrition.
